GOD IS GOOD-ALL THE TIME

In February 2001 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the time I was running a Parent Support Project and had to give it up because of going into hospital for cancer treatment and chemotherapy.

In May my husband lost his job, and so we were without an income. I was ill so I couldn’t go out and work, and we had to trust in God. At no time was I worried, because God had given me such a peace that everything was going to be ok.

We had people deliver meals to our door, and also envelopes with money in were put through our door anonymously, just at points when we needed that extra cash. We were able to get some State benefits, but they were about half of what we were used to.

At one time my car needed a new exhaust, and there was no way we would afford to have it done. I was telling a friend, and saying that we would probably have to have the car off the road, and within an hour her mechanic had come down to the house, collected the car, and returned it the next day with the exhaust replaced.

God has provided for all our needs right through the whole 11 months that my husband was out of work. Never once have we been without food on the table, and enough money to cover bills.

He never ever let us down. Things may not be in our timing, but His timing is always perfect.

I thought Phil would get a job in October, and I couldn’t understand why he didn’t, until February when I went into hospital for more surgery and Phil needed to be home to do school runs with the children and look after me. He got a job in the middle of March, and I started work after Easter.

God is good all the time!
