October
2001
Have you ever been really thirsty and then
finally had something to drink? What a joy and relief it is!
In recent days, world events have left many dried up by worry and
uncertainty. What a comfort & refreshing thing that we can bring both them
& all situations to the Lord in prayer.
Life has many challenges and situations that can leave you, even when
things are really going well, with a sense of thirst for something more.
Ordinary water is great, yet we read Jesus promised to bring a water that
would refresh the parts, to quote a certain advert, “others could not
reach”! Body, Mind & Spirit!
This month I am exited by the opportunities of refreshing which exist. As
ever there are many gatherings for worship, prayer and Bible study. There
is also the start of a local ALPHA COURSE at the Church on the 2nd
October, for those wishing to explore faith. On the 10th I am pleased to
be leading a series called “Leading in Worship”, for Christians wishing to
more fully participate in worship meetings.
For the children of the area it is time for the Annual Children’s Week
starting on the 22nd at Epping Junior School. We are also pleased to
welcome a Team from Romford to lead our youth celebration on the 14th. |
