Bible Students visit EFC
May 2002
I am pleased to welcome a team of Bible Students this month, who are
training for Christian ministry and will be sharing with us for two to
three weeks. They are from the UK and Japan. I am sure they
will be a blessing to us, as previous teams have been, and that they will
also be blessed by being here.
Tadashi from Japan: Heard
and accepted the call of God on his life to serve the church of God in
Japan. The proportion of Christians in Japan currently stands at
approximately 1%, c. 1m people. Tadashi's desire is to return to his
native land after graduating from the Elim Bible College, in order to help
create more avenues for Christian discipleship.
Jason from
Chester: Although he had a first encounter with Jesus Christ as
a young lad, Jason was unable to sustain his love for God as he was
growing up in an 'actively non-Christian' family environment. God
re-united him to Himself years later following a road accident in which he
was expected to be permanently paralysed. Jason witnessed the
miraculous healing of his physical body and perceived God's call into
ministry. Although he had 'other plans' Jason finally accepted the
supremacy of God's purpose and has witnessed His divine provision since
then.
The students completed their session with us by the end
of May, having experienced various facets of our church life. They
participated in numerous activities such as leading worship, delivering
sermons, taking school assemblies and conducting hospital visits.
The church expressed appreciation for the time of blessing that they
brought through their visit.
