Mike Town - Jamaica,
Caribbean, August 1998 When my Husband and I went to Jamaica God
took us to a little village called Mike Town. The people we stayed with made us feel
so welcome, although they knew what hard times were. They had no money and little
food, but what they had they shared with us. The grace of God was upon them. I thank the Lord that He used us to speak
to the old men that would gather every day to here about Jesus, as there also was a lot of
voodoo worship in the village. We were blessed by the presence of the children who
would come to see us each day. Jim suggested we could take the children out for one
day to the beach. The little boy in the family that we were staying with was called
"Junice". He had never been to the beach or seen the sea before, even
though he lives on a small island. God blessed us so much that day as we saw
Junice's joy at playing in the sea. It was our priviledge to go to Jamaica,
to the Church there and to have the opportunity to share my testimony. I thank the
Lord that He let us be a part of Mike Town for those 17 days. Shiela and Jim Pidgeon |
